Weight Loss Diet - Fat Loss Diet and the Difference Between Them

If losing weight is your goal you need to understand the difference between a fat loss diet and a weight loss diet.

Here are some of the differences:

A weight loss diet:

• Is all about restricting calories in the hope of trying to starve fat from the body.

• Reduces food intake usually way too much causing the body to experience 'diet shock' and slowing the metabolism (the body's engine) as a result.

• Sucks the life energy from you and makes you miserable.

• Creates intense and often uncontrollable food cravings resulting in binges and overeating making you crazy.

• Processed and refined foods acceptable if calories are low.

• Does not increase health and fitness and leaves one flabby and weak.

• Lowered energy levels do not support a proper exercise program that needs some strength and energy invested in it to make positive changes to the metabolism.

• Is about less - less food - less energy - less strength - poor metabolic health - less fat burning.

• Creates fat storing hormones (cortisol) from the stress of lowered food intake.

• Is punishment to the soul

A fat loss diet on the other hand:

• Is all about creating a healthy metabolism to burn the fat from the body.

• More food than normal usually needs to be eaten to boost metabolism.

• Meals are 2-3 hours apart and contain 300-400 calories.

• Must have protein and complex carbohydrates at each small meal.

• A balance of macro-nutrients (protein/carbohydrates/fats) is essential for fat burning.

• Natural, whole unprocessed foods should be eaten at least 80 percent of the time.

• Eating this way creates loads of energy to be active and increase fat burning.

• A strength training exercise program needs to be done at the same time to keep the fat burning machinery (muscle tissue) burning fat at the highest rate.

• Creates fat burning hormones to make ditching the fat as easy as it can be.

• This way of eating and exercising creates a strong, lean, healthy, shapely body

• Gives you more food - more energy - more strength - more life and three times the results in half the time when done properly.

• Makes you feel a million bucks.

So now you have it. Which one will you choose? Bit of a no-brainer really. Forget the old fashioned dieting and get yourself a brand new body and healthy metabolism with a proper exercise program that keeps your muscle tissue toned, healthy and in good condition. Combine that with a proper eating plan that will boost your health and support your activity need and you have the recipe to get you in the very best shape of your life.
